When all tools are prepared to perform their direct duties, you can visit the construction market or a specialized store where you will have to purchase:
- Foam plastic .It is implemented, as a rule, in sheets, the size of which is 1x1 m.
Attention! The most acceptable type of foam plastic material will be a thickness of 50 millimeters. Its density should be 25.
- Fastening elements. In principle, they are called "fungi."They have a long stem with a wide bonnet. The dimensions of the "fungi" depend on the thickness of the foam. Whatever it was, but the technology of laying foam suggests that the "fungus" should enter the wall at a distance of not less than 50 mm.
- Adhesive for foam. In principle, a usual mixture for ceramic tiles can also be used for surface bonding. But special compositions for work with the presented heater are also on sale.
- Mesh for reinforcement. It is realized by rolls, in which 1 m of material. To accurately calculate the number of mesh, it is enough to know how much foam you have purchased. For the reinforcement of foam plastic, the grid with a cell of 5 mm is ideally suited.
- Depending on where you will perform the installation of polystyrene with your own hands, from the outside or inside, you will need putty for external or internal works, respectively. Primer for deep penetration.

. Immediately before the foam is pasted, it is necessary to thoroughly prepare the surface. First, all cracks and cracks in the wall are sealed. Secondly, if the surface was painted, then those places where the old paint has departed, are scrupulously cleaned. Thirdly, if there are various kinds of protrusions and depressions, then they are scraped or plastered.
Immediately after all defects are eliminated, a thorough surface treatment with a primer is performed. You can do it with a roller or a brush with a wide working part. After this, let the wall dry out. At the optimum temperature, not lower than 15 degrees Celsius, and also good ventilation , this will take 3-4 hours. So, the preparation is complete, and you can proceed directly to the installation.

It should be noted that this work does not require any special effort from you. So, having smeared with the help of a notched trowel the surface of a heater with glue, you apply it to the insulated surface. To ensure that the installation is of the highest quality, make sure that the insulation sheet is firmly pressed against the surface. You can even slap it with your palm.
When the sheet is glued, it is necessary to fix it. As you already understood, this is done with the help of "fungi" of the appropriate size. If you need to fix the foam to concrete, then you can not do without a perforator, which by the diameter of the rod "fungus" makes a hole into which the fastening element is driven. This happens with each sheet of insulation.
When all the material has taken its rightful place on the surface, you have to make its reinforcement with the help of a grid.
