First we need to decide how many and which lamps we want to include with one or two keys. There are not many options here. One key includes one lamp, and the second - just two. But here's what( left or right) key that will turn on, for some it's very important( or convenient).
Ceiling
The ceiling hangs, as a rule, 3 wires( or three-wire wire).In the houses of the new construction of wires can be and 4. One is "land", according to the European standard. It is painted in yellow, and along it there is a green strip. The rest are checked by an indicator. It is necessary to find a wire on which there is no voltage. This is zero. The rest is the phase. This is done when the keys are "on".
Chandelier
Chandeliers also have wires. If there is a "ground" wire on the ceiling, the yellow-green can be connected safely. In modern models of chandeliers, all connections are made "inside" the chandelier, only wires from each lamp to the "outside" come out, and one wire is their common zero. And inside the chandelier has already made the connection of the phase wires of some lamps. For models of 3 lamps, two are already connected to each other and will be switched on simultaneously. In other words, the manufacturer decided for us how the chandelier should turn on.
So, from the chandelier there are 3 wires( "the earth" does not count).Zero "chandeliers" connect with zero "ceiling".Everything is clear. Now the phase. Each of the phase wires of the "ceiling" goes to the switch. We installed with two keys. Accordingly, we connect the wires of the phases of the chandelier and the switch.
Then we check. If there is a desire to make, that the right key included those lamps( or a lamp), which now includes the left, then the wires need to be interchanged - nothing complicated. And when you turn on both keys simultaneously, all the lamps will light up at once.
