The doors of the aluminum profile are divided into two groups according to their design:

1. Cold doors. The profile does not contain a thermal insert. Similar door constructions are used for unheated rooms or in those parts of buildings where there is no need to separate the cold zone from the warm one. The main objects of application:

• entrances to public places, such as banks, shops;
• tambours, stained-glass windows;
• office partitions.

2. Warm doors. The profile of such a construction is provided with a thermal insert. In addition to the thermal insert, a double seal is placed along the entire contour of the leaf. Warm doors perfectly retain heat, prevent the penetration of cold air. It is used if necessary in the division of the areas of the room into cold and warm or at the entrance to heated rooms. It is usually used as an entrance door for a residential building.

Types of doors made of aluminum profile

By way of opening, several types of doors are distinguished:

1. Swinging. Standard view of the door. It is installed in the door frame. Fastening to the door frame is carried out by using side hinges. Open the swing door can be only one specific side. This kind of door is usually used inside offices, residential buildings and apartments. This is the simplest version of the interior door.

2. Pendulum. Due to design features such a door opens both inside the room and out. The door is fastened to the ceiling and the floor. Almost always, the pendulum doors are equipped with a door closer, allowing them to return to their original state after opening.

3. Sliding or sliding. Doors leave when opened to the side. The door leaf is attached to special carriages. They drive along a special rail, attached to the ceiling. A great option to save space. The swing door can open only if there is free space behind it. But the sliding door moves along the wall and opens in any case, that would not be behind it. This kind of door is used indoors or at the entrance to stores, supermarkets. There are sliding doors: left or right;two-leafed or single-leafed. Choosing a door made from an aluminum profile

The choice of external door characteristics such as color, shape, size, depends entirely on the customer's preferences and wishes. However, there are a number of nuances to which it is desirable to pay attention:

1. Manual painting of the profile is not allowed. The paint should be level. Runs and roughness are unacceptable.
2. The minimum width of the thermostat is 20 mm. Aluminum sponges should be provided with serifs to hold the thermostat.
3. Make sure that the kit includes door hinges, not the window hinges. The use of window loops is unacceptable, they are less reliable.
4. Sealant material - silicone or EPDM.Other seals crack at the first frosts. In the corners of the box, the seal should be securely glued. Docking of a double-glazed window with a sealant - absolutely equal, without waves. The presence of cracks and gaps is inadmissible.
5. The corner brackets must be fixed to the pins. Sealing them with sealant is mandatory.
6. The fillets are located on the inside of the door and fit tightly to each other.

Installation of doors made of aluminum profile

Most often, for the installation of doors with aluminum profiles, professionals use services. Representatives of the manufacturer are not limited to delivering the door to the house to the buyer. Even if they do not install themselves, they will definitely advise who should be contacted. Nevertheless, many buyers prefer to install doors from the aluminum profile with their own hands. It is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. Patience and accurate implementation of the installation instructions guarantee a positive result.

Let's consider the order of installation of a door made of an aluminum profile, using the example of a conventional swing door.

1. The first stage is preparatory. Remove the old door with the box.

Tip: when ordering the door, be sure to order and threshold. Do not make the threshold yourself. Only the threshold supplied with the aluminum door will ensure sufficient accuracy of regulation and alignment.

2. Insert the door frame into the opening. Along the entire perimeter of the door between the opening and the box, place the wedges.

3. Use the level to check that the door frame is correctly installed. Errors eliminate, changing the amount of lining.

4. Measure from the bottom and from the top of the box to 0.2-0.3 m. Find the center.

5. Measure 0.2 m in the frame from above and at the threshold.

6. At all points marked above, drill holes. Diameter up to 10 mm.

7. Insert the dowels into the finished holes. Screw in the dowels bolts for two thirds of their length.

8. Recheck the vertical and horizontal. Finally align the door.

9. Fully tighten the bolts.

10. Put the door on the hinges.

11. Open and close the door several times. Make sure the stroke and the clamping are correct.

12. Ensure that all handles and locks are in good working order.

13. Moisten the space between the box and the doorway with water.

14. Fill all voids with foam.

15. Wait until the foam has dried. It will take about 10-12 hours.

16. Remove the wedges.

17. The gaps formed after removal of wedges, fill with foam.

18. Leave the door in the closed position for 24 hours. During this time, the foam will finally dry and harden.
