Selecting a location and installing the foundation

The construction of a frame shed should be started from the location where it will be installed. Such a place should not be in lowland areas. This is due to the fact that in spring and in rainy weather, water will accumulate in them, and flooding of the building will begin. Also not the best option - clay soil, but if there is no other option, then under the foundation it is necessary to pour a sand-gravel pillow. If the site is sandy, then it will be enough to clear and level it.

After selecting the location, a foundation should be laid. To do this, remove the top layer of soil to a depth of half a meter along the perimeter of the future construction site. The resulting ground is covered with gravel and sand, and a layer of crushed stone is piled on top. This creates a pillow under the foundation. Its thickness will be small, about 10 centimeters. Further on it is put a grid of reinforcement, formwork is made and concrete is poured. In order not to crack the concrete, it should be moistened with water for several days, thus keeping it moist.

Important! The stronger the foundation, the longer the shed will last and the better its walls will be protected from moisture.

Frame barn: installation of its foundation

The simplest frame of the barn is a frame made of wooden beams, which will later be encased with any material. Also, the walls can be laid out of bricks or combine the two options, laying several rows of bricks, and on them to mount the frame. This option is considered optimal, because on the foundation for strength laid a small basement in several rows of bricks. Between a number of bricks and a wooden frame necessarily need a waterproofing.

This is done because the brick retains moisture for a long time, which is harmful to wood. For good strength of the frame fastening, it is best to use T-shaped anchor pins. Next, the racks are installed in increments of one and a half meters, and the top bandage is created. After the frame is ready, you should start installing the walls.

When choosing the material for walls, it is necessary to be guided by their appearance and durability. The plank boards are considered to be an ideal option, since water flows well from them and they are easy to paint and treated with an antiseptic. The best arrangement of boards is a vertical installation. So they do not press against each other, and each board becomes a support, increasing the strength of the whole structure.

Important! When planning to mount boards vertically, it is necessary to think over the framework so that there are cross strips for fastening.

Making a roof for a shed

Doing a skeleton shed with your own hands, you must first think over the type of its roof. Often, single-pitched and gable roofs are used. It is recommended to cover the roof with asbestos sheets, since their wavy surface perfectly protects against moisture. Steel sheets are also very popular. They are lighter than asbestos and as tight as theirs. The roof structure should be as follows:

  • ;
  • Thermal insulator( if it is planned to make a barn warm);
  • Waterproofing;
  • Sheets of roofing material.

Important! Do not make the roof flat and without tilting, as moisture will accumulate on it, and the structure will begin to rot.

Inside the barn, you need to think about the correct arrangement of a large number of items. To cope with this task will help racks that are attached along the walls. The lower shelves are made larger than the upper ones, which will allow them to be used for bulky items. The upper shelves serve to store rarely used tools. If the size of the shed allows, you can put a table for various jobs.
