Construction of the bath with our own hands

Step 1: build the foundation

Naturally, for any building an important role is played by the foundation, which is poured in accordance with the type of frame and the soil of your territory. The horizontal dimensions of the bath depend on the material from which the walls are made.

A foundation is not something you can save on. It is made of belt type, as it combines with various types of clay and rocky soil.

The height of the foundation: 50-70 cm. For loose soil, it is possible to go deeper by 80-90 cm. It is not necessary to take into account the location of groundwater at their standard position, however, if the water table is too close to the ground, it is better to raise the foundation.

For a foundation, dig a trench, then pour in the padding into it. First, there is a large sand( 20 cm), this layer is called a "sand pillow".Next, add crushed stone to protect from moisture and depreciation.

Then it is necessary to waterproof the waterproofing - it can be done with a roofing material or more modern waterproofing materials. After the tape is poured with a liquid concrete mortar for reinforcement: one part of cement and three parts of sand.

After we prepare a grid of reinforcement made of metal rods, wire, pieces of profile, corners and other, which should be properly tied together, slightly short of the finish height of the foundation.5-6 reinforcing rods are also required to be placed vertically along the tape.

Step 2: Install the socle

The base is the beginning of the walls of the future room. It is installed on the basis of the foundation and forms the basis of the strength of the bath, its protection from external moisture. Between the socle and the foundation lay a layer of waterproofing, which consists of sheets of roofing material. The plinth is made to the floor level.

Step 3: build a "box" baths

A Russian bath should be made of wooden logs and profiled bars with a cross-section of 150 mm - this is the most suitable material, corresponding to national traditions. Working with the log cabin requires special skills, so it's better to observe the work of professionals on video in the next tab.

For the installation of windows and ventilation holes, a thorough antiseptic treatment is carried out.

Wood is known to be the most ecological material, which is convenient and beneficial to finish the bath. If you trim the outside with a treated tree, then inside you can use a wooden lining for harmony. It is used so that the walls do not rot from humidity and for aesthetic effect. Between the ceiling, the floor and the cladding, there should be gaps of 1 cm in size to allow the material to "play" because of the difference in temperature.

The edges near the walls are treated with an antiseptic.

Step 4: Preparation of the

Draining The drain is created by digging a hole in the middle of the washing room. It has a size of 150x150x150 cm. It is often created before the foundation is poured, but this is not of fundamental importance, therefore, work can be done at this stage. The metal is reinforced and a small amount of stone is laid. The walls are poured with concrete for 30 cm. The pit hides under the boards for a week, and then is greased with a diesel solution.

You can put a 15 cm thick concrete cover on top of the planks on the pit. It also needs to be reinforced, but already with wire.

For the drainage pit, the main aspect is that the lid does not fall inward, and the walls do not begin to crumble.

Next to the floor, they use clay and slag for 30 cm high. This layer will make it possible to heat-insulate the floor filling and make the service life as long as possible.

Then in the middle a special bolt is fastened to the lid of the sewer. The entire surface is reinforced with a wire.

The next step is to pour concrete into 15 cm.

After placing the plate in the pit, which should be 15 cm below the sewage pipe. To start the drain in winter frosts, you only need to pour a couple of liters of hot water on this plate.

Do not forget after these works lay around the hole stones from 5 to 10 mm thick, which will increase the strength of the system and protect it from the effects of water.

This drain will make your floor very warm, which is useful for strong winter frosts in Russia.

Step 5: Performing the flooring in the bath

There are several stages of flooring in the bath.

  1. On a concrete covering put wooden beams in the thickness of 40-50 sm, them process an antiseptic or engine oil. You can also use white spirit. The smell from the oil is weathered after the second use of the bath, but the white spirit is not enough, which is very expensive, so it also extends longer.

  1. These boards are placed with boards 15 cm wide and 5 cm thick. When installing between boards, there should be a gap of half a centimeter. Near the water seal, a removable hatch is installed in case of revision or thawing. The floor is covered with a fugue with a brush, and then rubbed with a cloth.

Important! It is necessary to monitor the uniformity of the coating, since defects, almost imperceptible at first, after some time of use, will become obvious.

  1. Measured boards are fixed to the logs with special screws, the installation of which does not cause darkening and deformation. The surface is smooth and semi-matt.
