How to insert the entrance door
The entrance door must be not only strong, but also beautiful. Increasingly, the entrance door is made of metal, which provides the highest degree of protection. Most of the time its installation is trusted by specialists, but this work can be done independently.

1 The installation of a new door with your own hands usually begins with the dismantling of the old one. Remove it and prepare a place to install a new one. To properly install it, you may need to expand or narrow the doorway. With the expansion, if the door box is concrete, use the "Bulgarian" - this will give a smooth smooth surface. The size of the opening must be 20-25 mm larger than the size of the installed door frame.
2 When installing a metal door, use wooden wedges to precisely match the box in place. Using the level, make sure that the door is set vertically. Secure the box with the anchor bolts, inserting them into the pre-drilled holes in the walls. After confirming that the box is installed correctly, fix it firmly with cement mortar.
3 If the doorway has to be narrowed, place excess space with a brick or pour concrete, setting up to the very top a vertical wooden formwork. Concrete is poured through the hole in the upper part of the formwork. After hardening of concrete formwork is disassembled, the remaining unfinished area in the upper part is laid with brick and plastered.

4 Before pouring concrete, be sure to fix the joint with the main wall of the reinforcement bars, inserted on the cement mortar into the drilled holes. If you perform brickwork, insert the reinforcement every three to four rows of masonry.
5 After installing the door frame, drill the holes for the shutter. Place the hardware on the door lock. Carry out the final finishing of the junction between the door frame and the walls. If the door does not have a decorative exterior finish or you do not like it, use materials such as laminate, vinylskin or natural wood to give the door the necessary decorative qualities.
6 Remember that the reliability of the entrance door is determined by the reliability of its weakest element. Bad lock or poor-quality fastening of a door box can negate all protective properties of a door. Often apartment thieves enter the room by pressing the door leaf at the place where the lock is fastened. A quality door should not have a gap between the box and the door, allowing you to insert a fomka or other tool into it. Now you know how to insert the front door correctly, and it's safe.
