Bugleran own hands - how to make a "hot little thing" for personal use?

What is a Boulergian oven?

Many sources tell about the miracle stove of prolonged burning. It can be used with the onset of the first cold weather in suburban dachas and cottages, in the countryside, in general, wherever there are no heating systems. It is claimed that simple Canadian guys who felled the wood came up with this design.

Indeed, the Bulerians are able in the shortest time to heat a cold room, the best fuel for them is wood. And the first thing that impresses such an oven is the rapid heating of large rooms. At the same time, it almost does not require personal care.

The convection type of heating, thanks to the design, is of undoubted merit. It also provides the possibility of installing air ducts on the upper floors - the heat used is used with maximum efficiency( efficiency reaches 80%).

Continuous combustion provides operation in a ten to twelve-hour cycle, i.e.per day it is enough to lay fuel twice to ensure a constant temperature regime, set during the first ten to fifteen minutes of intensive heating.

Homemade Bulerjan - is it worth it to start making?

The structural difference of the Bulerjanov is the presence in the case of a double row of special pipes, two thirds of the diameter in the furnace compartment. This makes the furnaces air-convection heaters of gas-generating type for rapid heating. In the structure, power regulators( on the front door) and gasification( at the outlet to the chimney) are arranged, which make it possible to change the temperature of the outgoing air.

Bulerians are designed to solve two problems: rapid heating to the desired temperature and its long-term maintenance. They do not heat up, do not dry the air. In practice, after the kindling, the furnace takes ten to twenty minutes to raise the overall temperature due to active heating over one hundred and fifty degrees Celsius and convection of the mass of air through the exchanger tubes.

After that, the butterfly valves are transferred to the gasification mode. In this mode, the temperature of the outgoing air is maintained at about sixty degrees Celsius, the burnout of fuel occurs more than ninety percent. Even self-made Booleryan can be heated not only with wood in combination with chips, but also with peat briquettes, pressed cardboard and paper.

The use of coal is not recommended;leads to a rapid burnout of the metal pipes, which constitute a significant part of the furnace shell. If the recommended modes and fuel types are observed, the duration of operation of the Bulerjan is unlimited.

Furnaces of Bugleran with their own hands - the procedure for the operation of

In order to build a Bugleran oven with your own hands, you need eight pieces of pipe with a diameter of about forty-five millimeters, the length of which is from one meter to one and a half meters. Dimensions are approximate. With the help of a pipe bender it is necessary to perform their bending by eighty degrees. With the help of welding, a structural connection is made between pipes installed symmetrically through one without bends, bends outwards.

The obtained frame is welded with strip metal( thickness two millimeters) along the lateral intervals between the pipes. Two plates are welded in the upper part of the furnace compartment, the distance between them is about five centimeters. And the bottom does not reach the back wall, and the upper one - to the front. Together they form a kind of labyrinth for the afterburning of gases.

The top of the furnace, above the second plate, comes out into the hole and the chimney pipe in the rear wall. Its diameter is about twelve centimeters, the pipe is the same length. A rotary slide valve with a handle is installed in the pipe. In the front wall is made a hole with a diameter of twenty-five centimeters, shifted down the center. A section of a pipe of the appropriate diameter is welded, or it is welded together by a shoulder to a height of eight centimeters.

The hinges are arranged, the round lid( future door) is brewed with the rim, which should almost seal the hole. It is used to make fasteners under the swivel hinges, the handle-latch, and is welded into the prepared ten-centimeter hole with an air blower pipe with a swinging gate valve.

The constructed oven is installed on a fireproof base( or legs) of a height of at least twenty centimeters. The convective nature of the work requires quite a considerable amount of free space around the Bulerjanovs. A feature of this type of furnace is the need to insulate the chimney pipe with a layer of mineral insulation at least three centimeters.

By the way, the construction of the furnace Buleryan also requires the installation of a metal chimney with high corrosion resistance( better from stainless steel), a special tee to remove the tar tar. In order not to smoke, the pipe must be brought to a height of not less than three meters from the top of the furnace and not less than half a meter above the ridge.

The top of the tube is covered with a fungus. The first firebox is best carried out outside or in a ventilated room. In the experimental order, the optimal position of the slide gate is located in the blast hole and in the chimney pipe. On this we can conclude a successful finale of our initiative.
