Step-by-step installation of interior doors. Step 1: mounting the hinges in the door leaf
Locks and hinges come in a variety of shapes and sizes. There are certain standards for the parameters of locks and loops, for example from the edge of the loop to the beginning of the canvas the distance is 20 cm. A similar arrangement should be at the bottom.
But the distance from the door handle to the floor can vary from 90 to 100 cm. When buying doors, you can find out these parameters on their packing materials.
The samples for hitching and locking are produced by a phrase or chisel.
It is desirable to work with a chisel only with practical skills, but if you use standards, you can perform the installation yourself.
So, measure off the edge of the door 20 cm and attach the hinges, marking their parameters with the marker upper and lower side, in order to fasten the hinges.
When using a chisel, it is also necessary to cut the contour with a knife to a depth of 1 mm. This is done so that the tool does not jump off the working mark. For self-tapping holes are cut through the installation of loops and fasten the hinges on the door leaf.
Important! Be careful with the laminated areas of the door, as if damaged, they completely lose their aesthetic appearance.
Step 2: preparation of the door frame and the specifics of working with it
The paradoxical fact is that manufacturing companies manufacture doors in a strictly standard size, which can be selected for any house or apartment, but it has happened many times that the box is not suitable for doors.
Place the door frame on a flat surface, measure the width and height of the box with a tape measure, and check your measurements with the dimensions of the door itself. As a rule, inconsistencies in size concern the height of the box. So, leveling off, cut off excess height, but leave a gap of 1.5 cm. It is especially important to do this if the door to be installed does not have a threshold. Cut the width of the additional panel, if it turned out to be larger than the thickness of the wall, you can use a saw.
Step 3: installation of the door frame
The door frame is fastened by wooden wedges, using a plumb and level. So, put the box in the opening and secure with blades. Height and width fix the plumb line.
In the slot between the door and the box, a cardboard is placed so that the mounting foam does not get into the gap and does not damage the doors.
Please note! On the edge of the door glue the building scotch, so that they also do not get a foam. The openings between the wall and the door are wetted with water, because this will allow the foam to fix itself better. After you pour foam into the desired openings, wait until it freezes, cut off excess, and then proceed to install the door.

The second hinge elements are mounted on the installed box in the same way as on the door leaf.
Step 4: Door installation
The standard hinges are very easy to handle. When both elements are fixed and on the box and on the door leaf, one physically strong person will be able to cope with the installation of the canvas. It is necessary to lift the door, move it to a vertical position and hit the hinge pin in its groove, and so on both mounts.
After this, check the normal opening and closing of the door. A well-installed door opens easily, without squeaks. The gap between the floor and the cloth is uniform.
Step 5: Installing the
Lock Important! Mounting the lock is done only on the door, which is completely installed and stained with absolute fastening to the door frame.
The lock consists of two main elements - the groove and the lock itself. It is cut into the cloth by the same principle as the hinges, only the grooves should be made more voluminous and cut through the holes for the handles. More on the video.
Step 6: fixing the platbands
The platbands are attached directly to the doorway( box).There is some mounting sequence:
- Attach the trim to the door and mark the position with the marker.
- Make an incision cut at an acute angle of 45 °.Then attach the platbands to the mark and place one more mark on the angle.
- Heal the clypeus with small nails.
- Mark the clypeus and make a cut, attach it to the padded casing.
- Fix the platbands, tightly pressing them to the door.
- Check that the platbands do not interfere with the slamming of the door leaf.
