What materials should not be used?

Plus, they will not withstand the friction of the surface of the basement due to soil movements. And, of course, they will easily burst under the impact of groundwater.

You also do not need to use materials with UV stabilization. These include a PVC membrane. After all, its main function is protection from ultraviolet radiation, which is simply not needed underground. Yes, and these membranes are much more expensive. It turns out an overpayment for that material, which is not expedient and profitable.
