It should also be taken into account that if the kitchen table is made of natural wood, rather than chipboard and plastic, then the kitchen corner is made of wood.

We choose the type of kitchen corner

1. Stationary. Visually, this is an integral structure, but its individual elements can be separated and rearranged, modifying the kitchenette. The base on which the elements are fastened can be one-sided, two-sided, direct, "L-shaped".Therefore, before you start planning and build a kitchenette drawing, you need to decide which design you need.
2. Sliding. Such sofas increase the useful area, so they can be used as one more sleeping place in the apartment, thanks to the retractable space. Basically, such furniture is equipped with a "dolphin" type mechanism.

The stationary corners are much easier to build - even those who do not have much experience in the "furniture business" will cope with them.

Choose the upholstery for the kitchen corner

Sitting on a wooden stool is of course not as pleasant as on a soft and comfortable chair. At present, a wide variety of materials are used for upholstering kitchen corners, among them:

1. Leatherette. The most popular material, of course, is leatherette, as it is not only practical and convenient, but also very economical and unpretentious. In addition, this is a real find for the kitchen, as this room is daily affected by humidity, as well as various sources of pollution, and leatherette, in addition, is resistant to external irritants and scratches. 8. Stapler and staples.
9. Self-tapping screws.
10. Screwdriver.
11. Sponge tape.

Preparatory stage

1. Before starting to make a kitchen corner, you need to carefully measure everything - the dimensions of the kitchen and furniture must match.
2. Draw a drawing of the kitchen corner - so it will be easier to transfer it to the materials from which it will be made.
3. The base of the sofa is a drawer along its entire length.
4. The rear wall of the sofa should be wider than all the others - it is a support and backrest, comfort, durability and comfort depend on it.
5. The front wall of the sofa is made oblique - down and inward, since this position will allow sitting comfortably.

Making of a long sofa

1. To transfer to the chipboard a drawing from the drawing.

3. Connect the parts with screws, and where necessary - with a bar.

Collecting the sofa

1. Attach the sofa seat to the back with metal hinges.

4. Make sure that all parts are snug against each other during assembly.
5. To make the back stronger, it can be bolted.

Manufacturing of the connecting part

The manufacturing technique of the connecting corner is a little more complicated, but this does not mean that the process is not up to the novice.

1. For backrest we select two thrust strips from chipboard of the appropriate size. It will be two details of the three necessary that will form the product.
2. We connect the parts together, using jigsaw saws, which are used as supporting parts.
3. To ensure that the corner can be denser near the wall, the connecting corner from the rear must be cut off.
4. The seat has a trapezoidal shape. We process it in the same way as described above in the section "Making a long sofa".
5. The elements of the backrest should be clamped on the dowels between the sidewalls, and then additionally fixed with corners from the metal to the stop bars.
6. Upholstery is carried out according to the same rules and principles described above.
7. Fasten the long sofa( or sofas) and the connecting part with self-tapping screws or with metal fasteners. The latter option is more advantageous, since it will be possible to change the angle to the right or left side.
