In specialized furniture stores you can find a wide range of different designs that resemble rockets, cars and beds made in the form of fairy-tale characters. There are such beautiful cribs-masterpieces are very expensive. But not always the high price compensates for the quality. Make this bed alone will not be difficult.

Even if you have no experience working with carpentry tools, with a huge desire, you can master them and make a bed for your beloved child with your own hands. A bed in the form of a car is more suitable for a boy.

For the choice of material for the future bed, take it with utmost responsibility:

• materials that are used for furniture assembly by oneself - sheets from MDF or chipboard. The sheets have a different thickness and color. The standard sheet sizes are 2700 by 1830 millimeters. Depending on the size and details of the future bed, one or two sheets will be needed;
• if you believe that furniture sheets can harm the health of the child, instead of them you can use furniture boards made of natural wood, as well as plywood;
• prepare the timber 50 by 70 millimeters - take 4 slats;
• eurosurfaces and euro screws - these are special furniture devices that resemble remotely resilient screws. The dimensions of the fasteners are 7 by 70 millimeters and 6.3 by 50 millimeters;
• special nozzle and wrench for fasteners;
• drill the desired diameter;
• rollers for moving the crib;
• nails( by 120 millimeters) and self-tapping screws;
• paint;
• screwdriver;
• electric jigsaw;
• spray or brush for paint;
• orthopedic mattress;
• fabric for covering the sleeper.

Making the basis of

We begin the construction of the bed frame in the form of a machine. The frame must be as strong as possible, because the children do not use the bed for their intended purpose. In the daytime they are very fond of jumping on the bed. Therefore, to strengthen strength, a wooden beam is used. It is desirable to cut the size of the sketch immediately upon purchase.

The base parts are connected together by screws, screws or nails. In the bar under the screws, you just have to drill the hole with the electric drill, because otherwise it can burst. On top of the frame put plywood or furniture sheet, which will serve as a support for the mattress.

We cut the sheets

After the foundation is created, we can start cutting the sheets. There are two options:

1. If you are not strong in the computer and do not understand the graphics, then make templates for the side parts, front and back of the machine by hand. If you draw well, you can immediately make templates. If it does not work out, print out the model sketch and increase it to the required size. Of course, this will take a lot of time, because you will have to distribute the blanks and glue them on the leaves until the actual size is obtained. Then the template is placed on a sheet of plywood and surrounded by a marker. With the help of electric jigsaw the details of the future bed of the machine are cut out. If you have planned a complex painting, then at the same time you can make and templates for painting the product.
2. If you know how to work with graphics programs, then just draw a drawing( vector).Next, the file is printed and glued together. You can also provide an electronic layout in a furniture company that will perform the sawing of parts on special equipment.

Do not forget to process the ends of each part with a sandpaper( or glue it with a protective tape).After that, you can drill a drill( for confirmation) all the holes at once.

We paint the parts

Before painting the parts, pre-assemble the bed. The assembly will identify possible misalignments, defects, inconsistencies in parts and eliminate inaccuracies.

If the assembly showed that all the details "sit" in their places, then the bed is dismantled and begins to paint. For the paint to lie flat, it is advisable to work with a spray gun or buy paint in cans. Of course, you can paint details and brush, but then you need to work experience, because the paint needs to be applied several times, and then also to open with varnish.

Try not to work in a residential area, because painting the details of the future bed will take several days.

Assembling

When all the painted parts have dried out, you can begin the assembly of the crib.

We act according to the plan:

1. Rollers are screwed to the frame at the bottom.
2. We fix on the frame all the details on each side.
3. To disguise the heads of screws, you can paint them with paint or buy furniture "hats" in the tone of the machine.
4. On the lamellas or plywood we store the mattress previously purchased. On it we put on a waterproof cover( if it is necessary) or we turn a mattress a dense cloth or a coverlet.
5. Attaching small parts to the machine.

That's it, the bed in the form of a car is ready! There are a few more points that you can add: backlighting for the bottom and headlights.
